i’ve tickets for manila this saturday, march 12-13. hehe, i got them tickets june of last year. i originally plan to go to subic with those tickets. however, the person who’s supposed to go with me had a change of plans. i’m never one to impose so this travel spells solo for me. but as the fates would have it, i’m not also hundred percent well – healthwise. so now am indecisive whether to brave the streets of luzon or to just forego the tickets altogether. if in case, i decide to go – i’ll be traveling solo. so, i thought of just taking my feet to laguna.
i very much hate the thought of wasting tickets, but i’m also not very keen on exploring the capital solo. haha – my tagalog sucks. that’s primarily the reason i’m hesitant. besides that, i hate approaching people to ask questions. if you’re in the capital, i always equate asking directions to strangers to “come on, rip me off!” now, i don’t want to be ripped off. and again, my tagalog SUCKS! the other person would have played the role of “asking questions etc.” had he not changed his mind, hehe.
anyway, another option is to go my friend’s place in guadalupe, makati. however, i learned that she and her hubby have plans for that weekend. anyway, my mind is just set on wanting to see the house of good old joe in calamba.
but like i said, i’m hesitant as of writing. apart from my feelings of dialect inadequacy, i’m a bit scared that my beautiful u will act up if i put myself in a stressful situation {getting lost in the big city!}{yes, my beautiful has a BIG SAY on my travel plans!} i dread the thought of having a “chowking experience” when i’m alone in a strange place.
so each day and night until Friday, my head will be hammering the question: TO GO or NOT to GO?
this reminds me of my thailand trip april of last year. the same question was foremost in my mind as there were violent rallies reported on the news on the date we’re supposed to be in bangkok!
there's no special reason for the name except the love of putting my foot in front of the other until i'm breathless. traveling is a new found love for me. though i'm not blessed with beautiful-looking feet, i've gotten the habit of taking photos of my feet every time i set foot on lands outside of my beloved cebu. THANKS FOR VISITING!!! leave me a note or two. send it to vetlongwalks@yahoo.com or drop me a comment here. would love to hear from you!
