singapore preview
hmm… okay, it’s been more than two weeks since i wrote about traveling to singapore on impulse. friends have asked me about the pictures of the trip. well, as you know i’m super tapulan. thus, i’ve never really found the time and energy to blog about it. anyway, leylander of mycebuphotoblog is anything like me. he owns the traveling cow fondly called “satchmo.” his beloved “satchmo” actually came with us during that trip. as i said, ley is anything like me, thus, he’s way faster at uploading satchmo’s pictures of the trip than my tapulan self.
so, do visit ley’s mycebuphotoblog site. as dennis and i played host to the luckiest cow on earth, the places satchmo had been to were the same places we actually stepped on. this travel post of satchmo in singapore can generally serve as a preview of that trip.
line of gastronomicadventures was also as quick as i was not. line, as her blogname suggests, spoke of the food adventures we’ve had in singapore. okay, correction – the lack of adventure! hehe, as she mentioned in her blog, i’m not very adventurous when it comes to exposing my palate, thus, chow time at the city of the merlion was at famous food chains! pathetic, i know [LOL!]
thanks ley and line for sharing our little singapore trip to your numerous readers!!!

camiguin: finally!!!
back in 2003, i got myself boat tickets for cagayan de oro city to see the gardens of malasag. right after i checked-in at my hotel, i immediately hopped on a taxi and went to see the place. that done on my very first day, i was left with nothing to do. as i was a newbie traveler then, i didn’t prepare an itinerary. i thought i’d head to camiguin before leaving for davao on the 3rd day of my vacation. however, i let fear got the better of me. hehe, at that time, riding on small boats or ferries scare the hell out of me.
now, early march of this year, john and i got tickets for CDO. he had some business to take care there and i sorta was tagging along. when john informed me that the person he was supposed to meet up in cdo couldn’t make it and ergo, no point of him going, i told myself that i didn’t want to waste good tickets. i’d just head to camiguin on my own instead [this time, i was no longer a scaredycat with regards to traveling by ferries, hehe]. unfortunately, on the day i was to fly to CDO, i was burning with fever. thus, imagine my frustration when my plan to go to camiguin was foiled for the 2nd time.

there's no special reason for the name except the love of putting my foot in front of the other until i'm breathless. traveling is a new found love for me. though i'm not blessed with beautiful-looking feet, i've gotten the habit of taking photos of my feet every time i set foot on lands outside of my beloved cebu. THANKS FOR VISITING!!! leave me a note or two. send it to vetlongwalks@yahoo.com or drop me a comment here. would love to hear from you!
